The stoc... DESCRIPTION:The intent of this solicitation is to provide plot inventory and regeneration stocking survey data. It involves locating and establishing plots, and measuring and recording trees. The stocking survey data provides information to help guide land manager's decisions. The stands to be examined on Item 01 were burned over on the Fern Fire which occurred in 2012. The stands to be examined on Item 03 were burned over on the Johnson Bar Fire which occurred in 2014, and the stands on Item 02 were burned over on the Woodrat, Mystery Bit and Walde Fires which occurred in 2015. The wildfire project areas will have a mix of burn intensities so the amount of vegetation remaining after the fires and the amount of regrowth will vary. There will be areas of high intensity burning with low amounts of trees/vegetation to record. Also, there will be areas of no burnig or low intensity burning within project areas that will have high amounts of trees/vegetation to record. The scope of this contract is to furnish all labor, tools, equipment, transportation, and incidentals necessary to conduct reliable stocking examinations. The work performed and the data collected shall be in compliance with the terms, specifications, conditions, and provisions of this solicitation and the current version of the Common Stand Exam Field Guide for Region 01. The Contractor's electronic data shall successfully transmit to the U.S.F.S. FSVEG System using the computer equipment on the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forest. LOCATION: The projects are located on the Lochsa,Powell, and Moose Creek Ranger Districts of the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forest, with headquarters at 903 3rd Street, Kamiah, Idaho. The general project work area locations are shown on the attached vicinity maps. PERFORMANCE DATES: The effective period of this contract is from the date of Notice to Proceed through September 15, 2019. The estimated start date is June 15, 2019. The solicitation will be 100% set-aside for small business concerns. In result of an award from this solicitation, Award(s) will be made by Item. The Government reserves the right to make one or more awards, which will be Firm-Fixed price contracts.
