DESCRIPTION: The Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forest requires annual trail opening and maintenance on Forest Service trails. The work includes logging out, drainage maintenance and rock removal on non-wilderness and wilderness trails as described in the technical specifications. Slide maintenance and tread repair are required in connection with uprooted trees. Contractors shall be held responsible for all downed trees; there will be NO tree counting. However, trees felled by unusual, extreme wind events are outside the scope of this contract. The Contractor(s) shall furnish all labor, supervision, equipment and materials to perform all operations necessary to accomplish the work in accordance with the contract terms, conditions, specifications, drawings and contract attachments/exhibits. Each resultant award will require performance of trail maintenance work for the Forest in a specific geographic area (NZ, SZ, and CZ) as defined by the Item descriptions and maps provided as attachments. LOCATION: Multiple locations on the North Fork, Palouse, Lochsa/Powell, Moose Creek, Salmon River, and Red River Ranger Districts. Refer to the attached maps for additional details. DATES: The period of performance is from the date of Notice to Proceed to August 15, 2019. (FEB 1988) The period of performance of this contract is from the following: Base Year: May 1, 2019 - August 15, 2019 Option Year 1: May 1, 2020 - August 15, 2021 Option Year 2: May 1, 2021 - August 15, 2022 The solicitation will be 100% set-aside for small business concerns and anticipate multiple awards as a Firm-Fixed price contract.
