The services of this Request for Proposals (RFP) are being acquired under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in conjunction with FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. The USDA Forest Service, Procurement and Property Services, Incident Procurement Operations, Logistics Support Branch intends to solicit proposals (RFP) for the services of up to forty-one (41) Type 2... The USDA Forest Service, Procurement and Property Services, Incident Procurement Operations, Logistics Support Branch intends to solicit proposals (RFP) for the services of up to forty-one (41) Type 2-IA (Initial Attack qualified), 20-Person Firefighting Crews for use in wildland fire suppression and all-hazard incidents. Other optional work includes severity/preparedness assignments and project work related to fuels management. Prospective contractors will be required to supply fully trained, qualified and equipped crews as per the solicitation/contract requirements. The Government anticipates awarding multiple Firm-Fixed priced, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract(s) using a total Small Business Set-Aside under NAICS 115310. The Small Business size standard is $21.5 million. Resultant IDIQ(s) will be effective for a base period and, at the option of the Government, up to four (4) additional optional periods. The base contract period will be effective from date of award through December 31, 2021. This solicitation will be for the Type 2-IA Firefighter Crew requirement only.
