The USDA Forest Service anticipates issuing an RFQ for an East Zone Mechanic with Service Truck for use in Region 3, with resources to be used for fire suppression, all-hazard incidents, and prescribed project work. The contract will be awarded as multiple preseason Incident Blanket Purchase Agreements under a total Small Business set-aside. Contractors must provide all necessary equipment, personnel, and management, with payment made at rates in effect at the time of order issuance. Agreements will be competitively awarded within advertised regional dispatch centers, and vendors are strongly encouraged to select the center closest to their resource's physical location. All submissions and communications must be conducted through the Virtual Incident Procurement (VIPR) Next Gen System, for which vendors must have specific registrations and accounts.
