The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Forest Service plans to issue an RFQ for vehicle-with-driver services to support fire suppression, all-hazard incidents, and prescribed project work in its East Zone and Regions 1 and 4. The contract is a total Small Business set-aside, with the intention to award multiple preseason Incident Blanket Purchase Agreements. Contractors must provide all equipment, personnel, and logistics, and will be paid at the rates in effect when an order is issued. Resources will be dispatched through specific regional centers, and vendors are strongly encouraged to align their resource's physical location with a nearby dispatch center to maximize opportunities. All submissions and communications must be conducted electronically through the Virtual Incident Procurement (VIPR) Next Gen system.
