Licensed Mechanic Support for DHC-2 The objective of this solicitation and any resulting contract is to obtain maintenance support in the form of an FAA licensed mechanic with experience performing maintenance on DHC-2 MK1 Beaver aircraft. The components of work: The licensed mechanic will work under the direction of a USFS Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) and be available for a specified number of days (TBD) between February 15, 2022, and March 31, 2023. The USFS must approve the plan, schedule, and timeline prior to execution. The mechanic must be FAA licensed mechanic that meets the following: (i) At least 10 years working as an Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic (A&P) (ii) At least ten years’ experience working as an engine and airframe mechanic on DHC-2 MK1 Beaver. (iii) Familiarity with engine and airframe DHC-2 OEM and equipment manufacture manuals. (iv) Familure with DHC-2 engine and airframe Airworthiness directives, service bullitens and associated technical directives. (v) Experience with DHC-2 OEM inspection Program. The Resulting Contract will be a single firm fixed price IDIQ.
