Questions: Q.1 In the avionics section (2) there is a paragraph (iii) requiring individual volume controls: #4 NEW AVIONICS REQUIREMENTS (b) Avionics Specifications: (2) Audio Systems (iii) Individual Volume Controls Each required audio controller must have separate controls to independently adjust headphone volume for each communications receiver. The individual volume controls must be a built in, integral part of each audio controller. Toggle and push-on/push-off receiver selectors are acceptable. Push/pull style receiver selectors are unacceptable unless they use a lighted method to identify enabled receivers. I recently asked someone in your organization and was told that this was only for dedicated command and control aircraft. Is this now applicable to all aircraft? A.1 No. The requirement referenced above, (iii) Individual Volume Controls, has been removed as it is required for aerial supervision line items for which there are none in this solicitation. *****__________________________________________________________________________________________****** 4/21/2023- P00001 is issued to correct a few errors, see P00001 for details.
