The objective of this project is to effectively continue noxious weed management and treatment during the growing season through the use of chemical controls within the known and discovered noxious weed infestations on the New Meadows Ranger District treatment area. Treatment areas will be focused in the 4th Rock Stewardship area that was finished in 2018 in Adams County. It will also focus on the haul routes associated with the 4th Rock Stewardship area in Adams County. The overall objective of this project is to restore forest, rangeland and watershed health within the West Fork of the Weiser River watershed and additional post-harvest/road work areas. This work consists of noxious weed management and treatment during the growing season through the use of chemical control on the New Meadows Ranger District specifically within known and discovered weed infestations. See attached maps for identification & site information. Any Idaho State listed noxious weed population found within the treatment areas will be treated. However, in the event available funding will not allow for treatment of all known or discovered infestations, priority will be given to Idaho State listed species that are of particular local concern, specifically, spotted knapweed, diffuse knapweed, rush skeletonweed, whitetop, yellow toadflax, field bindweed, dalmation toadflax, leafy spurge, hoary alyssum, puncturevine, scotch thistle, yellow starthistle, orange hawkweed, and/or hounds tongue.
