The minimum building size required by the Forest Service is 2,568 ft2 based on evaluating the number of staff members requiring accommodations in the building. The facility will also require parking for 45 staff, 6 government vehicles, and an additional 2 parking spaces for visitors. Facility to include an area for classroom, minimal one office, restrooms and a vehicle bay, large enough to store a Type 4 engine (28' x 9' x 11'). The surrounding area has space to accommodate a mobile office trailer, for seasonal increase in fire personnel, and several storage buildings. The preferred location for the facility would be located within Boise or surrounding area situated no further away than a five minute drive of I-84. This will be a 5 year lease with one base year and four option years.
