National IR Mapping The intent of this solicitation and the resulting contract is to obtain services of a light, turbine powered or jet aircraft fully contractor operated and maintained to meet specifications to support the National Infrared Operations (NIROPS) program hosted by the USFS. The primary mission of NIROPS is to use Infrared (IR) imagery to map the heat perimeters of assigned wildland fires throughout the United States. The primary scope of work under this contract is for the acquisition, processing and delivery of multi-band IR imagery for processing into geospatial data products. Rapid data delivery schedules are required to provide fire managers with up-to-date situational awareness and tactical operations support.
