Contracting Officers may solicit... NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). Contracting Officers may solicit from one source if it's determined only one source is reasonably available to satisfy agency requirements, as supplemented with additional information in this notice. The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Northwest Irrigation and Soils Research Service (NWISRL) intends to award on a sole source basis a Firm Fixed Price purchase order (PO) to University of Idaho Analytical Sciences Laboratory. We are using this lab to ensure research consistency and continuity with this 8-year project, which demands the use of the same lab, process and procedures used as for prior sample batches. The work to be performed is analysis of plant and soil samples, for results requested per each sample batch. There will be 128 soil samples sent in the spring, and 128 plant samples sent in the fall. We will send another batch of 244 soil samples in the fall. Two soil samples from another project will be submitted as well. Period of Performance - The period of performance will be April 13, 2020 through December 31, 2020. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; AND NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE.
