The scope of this project includes the renovation of four units in Quad 1 in Thorne Bay, Alaska. This work includes ADA upgrades, garage door replacements; patio door replacement; window replacements; ADA accessible ramp for the entire Quad Complex. There are two 2-bedroom apartments, two 1-bedroom apartments, storage room, boiler room, mud room, common front entry, and common stairs. The Base contract is for the renovation of the four apartments only, with the first floor 2-bedroom unit being upgraded to meet ADA standards. Option 1 of this contract is the common area remodel, which includes mud room, storage room, boiler room, stairs and two hallways. The work in Option 2 is the window replacement and patio doors. Option 3 includes constructing a wood decking ADA ramp from the main entry. Option 4 is the replacement of 12 garage doors for all three quad buildings. Interested parties should email Mike McCarthy at michael.t.mccarthy@usda.gov and Denise Murphy at denise.murphy@usda.gov no later than 1:00 pm (AS) August 7, 2020 with the following information: 1. Experience on building construction / building renovation projects including name of project, location, dollar value and description of the project scope. 2. Firm’s socioeconomic representations such as HUBZone, Woman-owned, 8(a), Small Business, etc. This information will be used for market research purposes to determine the appropriate small business set aside for this requirement. All interested sources, In accordance with FAR 4.1102, Contractors must be active in the System for Award Management (SAM) at the date and time proposals are due to be eligible for award. Proposals submitted by contractors without an active record in SAM will not be considered.
