The USDA Forest Service, Alaska Region, Tongass National Forest requires road maintenance activities on the Margaret Bay road system of Revillagigedo Island near Ketchikan. The work involves, but is not limited to, remediating culverts and ditches, moving/hauling earthen materials, and maintaining roadways, with an amount of tree removal and placement. This work is subject to the Construction Wage Rate Requirements statute. The order of magnitude of this work is estimated to be between $100,000 and $250,000. This activity is subject to a HUBZone set-aside, and is being procured under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (FAR 13) through a Request for Quotes (RFQ). For more information, see the attached RFQ and associated documents. Quotes are due at 16:00 Local Alaska Time on 5/25/2020 in an email to jonathan.gellings@usda.gov. Any questions must be submitted to the same email. UPDATED 5/14/2020: Amendment 001 provides additional information related to drawings and specifications, and extends the due date to 5/26/2020. UPDATED 5/14/2020: Amendment 002 provides clarity on how bid quarantees will be handled. in light of recent events, electronic copies of the bid guarantee-related documents are due at the time of quotes, while physical copies are due on an extended timeframe by 5/29/2020 at 1:00PM Local Alaska Time.
