The project is located in Juneau, AK approximately 7 miles northwest of the Juneau airport. The project may be accessed from State Glacier Highway and Lena Loop Road. Utilities are not available at the site, but are in the vicinity; the Contractor is responsible for connection. Major work items include the following: 1. Demoliton of 4 existing shelters 2. Construction of 3 new shelters 3. Demolition of 1 existing picnic site 4. Construction of 2 new picnic sites 5. Installation of host site water, electrical and site furnishings 6. Installation of public water faucet 7. Asphalt concrete paving, striping and wheel stops 8. Resurfacing existing pathways and pads with crusher fines 9. Installation of 4 hot coal bins Magnitude of construction is estimated to be between $250,000 and $750,000.
