This is a sole-source procurement of two fully trained Border Collies from Kuykendall Border Collies, LLC, for wildlife damage management at H?k?ala Resort adjacent to Lihue Airport on Kauai, Hawaii, to reduce n?n? (Hawaiian goose) bird-aircraft strike hazards. The dogs must be ABCA-certified and fully trained as goose-dogs with specific behavioral, socialization, and desensitization requirements, and must meet Hawaii import rules including a rabies titer conducted 120 days before entry. The K9s must be procured by August 1, 2026 and arrive on Kauai before the September 2026 breeding season.
