Sources Sought - Fluorescence Microscope
The USDA Agricultural Research Service in Houma, LA is conducting market research to identify qualified sources for an Olympus BX53 compound microscope with phase contrast and fluorescent capabilities. The instrument is needed for investigating fluorescent protein-tagged fungal and bacterial pathogens in sugarcane, as well as for routine disease diagnosis and pathogen morphology study. The specified Olympus BX53 is described as the only configuration meeting the technical requirements. Responses will help the government determine the appropriate acquisition method, including potential small business set-asides, but this notice does not constitute a commitment to award.
