This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. This Sources Sought is issued for information and planning purposes only as part of USDA ARS market research and does not itself constitute an RFQ. Background The USDA AFRS maintenance department needs a PVC Fill Kit qty of one that consist of BACross integral drift eliminators for a Baltimore Air Company (BAC) Crossflow Cooling Tower Model number 3333A for eliminator pads that are saturated with calcium build up. The unit services two chillers that provide cooling for our main building at the AFRS station. This BAC Cooling Tower was installed around 2009 and given the age and build up of the calcium and minerals on these pads we need a new kit that can fit our needs. BAC manufacture eliminator parts will be the only one that can fit this unit as they are specifically designed to work inside this cooling tower system. Requirements Must meet BAC specifications for the kit to replace these eliminators. See Attachment 1 for pictures of the BAC Cooling Tower and eliminator pads. Must provide a qty. of one PVC Fill Kit (BACross II, 3333A) GLV, Part Number 51-RK3455M5 T The Kit must fit a BAC Cooling Tower Model number 3333A. Know dimensions are as follows: approximately 8ft width x 8ft length and depth of pads are unknown. Due to the system currently running and we do not have any documentation within the O&M manuals we possess. The location is unable to provide the exact measurements or the exact breakdown of the pads. The measurements above is all we can give at this time. Testing and Verification Upon receiving the kit, a verification that the shipment is intact with no visible damage and the kit is capable of meeting manufacture’s specification acceptance shall be given. Data Requirements Installation instructions for the install of this kit should accompany this unit. 2.0 Place of Delivery NEA APPALACHIAN FRUIT RESEARCH LABO 2217 WILTSHIRE ROAD KEARNEYSVILLE WV 25430 3.0 Delivery Schedule Items and installation within sixty (60) days after the receipt of the purchase order. Delivery shall be between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excl. Federal holidays. A Forklift will be provided to get this kit off of a delivery truck. Let us know if extended forks will be needed to move this off of the truck. The Contractor Shall: This Sources Sought is only for the purpose of identifying potential sources as part of USDA ARS market research. The Government does not intend to make an award based on responses to this inquiry. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. Responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of qualified sources including any Small Businesses; HUBZone small business; service-disabled, veteran-owned small business; 8(a) small business; veteran-owned small business; woman-owned small business; or small disadvantaged businesses.
