The odd small pieces of glass that have to be special cut can they be non-tempered glass so they can be cut to size? Yes. 3. Do you want us to suggest change orders if we see any large amounts of sealant missing where water could be protruding inside the greenhouse? If large amount of sealant is missing around a piece of glass, it needs to be removed and reset. Yes, a change order can be submitted. 4. Would any more time be allowed on the contract for last minute glass orders or if any other unforeseen issues were to arise? Such issues would be addressed at the time they occur. 5. End of changes This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products or commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, utilizing FAR part 13 procedures, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is 1125706 and this combined synopsis/solicitation is issued as a request for proposal (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2024-03, dated February 23, 2024. This is a Total Small Business Set-Aside with a NAICS code of 238150 Glass and Glazing Contractors and a size standard of $19.0M. The resulting award will be for one (1) firm fixed price line items. CLIN 0001 will be for one lump sum amount to perform maintenance on all broken and slipped glass on Building 011 (5) greenhouses and corridors. This is a solicitation for maintenance on all broken and slipped glass on Building 011 (5) greenhouses and corridors. See attached document (Statement of Work). Work must be completed within 60 days of the date of award. Location of work, inspection, and acceptance: Beltsville Agricultural Research Center (BARC), USDA, BARC Building 010, Beltsville, Maryland. REJECTION OF QUOTATION: Failure to demonstrate compliance or to submit all items requested in solicitation will be cause to reject the quote without further discussions. DISCUSSIONS: The Government intends to award without discussions but reserves the right to conduct discussions should it be deemed in the Government's best interest.
