This is a SOURCES SOUGHT only. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (HUBZone, 8(a), small, small disadvantage, small veteran-owned business or service-disabled veteran-owned small business) relative to NAICS 334519-Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing a small business size standard of 600 employees. This is not a solicitation. Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to the sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published on the SAM.gov website. Responses to the sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this sources sought announcement. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. The Gifford Pinchot National Forest, Cowlitz Valley Ranger Station, Lewis County, Washington has a Name Brand item requirement and intends to contract for the supply of : (1) Leica TS16 I 3” R500 Imaging Total Station (1) Leica CS20 LTE DISTO Field Controller SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS Must be an automated total station. Must be able to function as a one or two person instrument operation for surveying or stakeout. Must have an accuracy of 3 inches. Must have a range of 500 meters. Must have an overview camera. Field Controller must be compatible with total station. Field Controller must have UMTS/LTE Cellular Modem. The Field Controller must have DISTO technology.
