This notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quote (RFQ), or an Invitation for Bid (IFB). No contract or purchase order will be awarded from this notice. The Government is not liable for any vendor effort or cost incurred as a result of this notice, including but not limited to effort and costs associated with vendors’ preparation and submission of responses. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be made available. Responses to this notice are not required. Description: The U.S. Forest Service, Department of Agriculture, will be soliciting proposals for the Badger Fire Disaster Relief Water Developments project. The contractor is responsible for removing and replacing a total of twenty (20) stock water systems at various locations on the Minidoka Ranger District of the Sawtooth National Forest. Work will consist of removing and disposing of all old stock water system infrastructure off forest, constructing new infrastructure consisting of new waterline, new cattle and sheep troughs, new spring headboxes, new daylight drains, and all appurtenant new water valves, fittings, and pressure treated trough supports including connecting hardware. Work also includes performing all required clearing and grubbing of existing vegetation to accommodate new improvements, including hazard tree removal, completing all required excavating, backfill, and trenching as applicable, and performing site restoration / cleanup at each respective site when complete. One Firm Fixed-Price (FFP) contract will be awarded. Magnitude: Between $250,000 and $500,000. Place of Contract Performance: Minidoka Ranger District, Sawtooth National Forest. Projected Period of Performance: June 10, 2024 – November 15, 2024 Anticipated Solicitation Date: The solicitation will be posted on or around 04/01/2024 in a separate notice on SAM.gov. At that time, the solicitation requirements and contract documents, to include instructions for submission will also be available. The proposal response date is not known at this time. The actual date will be established in the solicitation documents. All vendors must have an active registration in SAM.gov at the time of submission to be considered for award. Any vendor that does not have an active SAM.gov registration will be rejected as non-responsive. Small Business Set-Aside: This procurement is a Total Small Business set-aside.
