Project Title: Cedar Creek and Driveway Trail Bridge Replacements, Bighorn National Forest (NF), Region 2, Wyoming. Driveway Trail Bridge Description of Work- The work for the Driveway trail bridge includes but is not limited to the removal of the existing bridge structure, the installation of a 61’ glulam stringer trail bridge with timber sill on geocell pad, aggregate surfacing, riprap placement and all other incidental items necessary to complete the project in accordance with plans and specifications. Cedar Creek Trail Bridge Description of Work- The work for the Cedar Creek trail bridge includes but is not limited to the removal of the existing bridge structure, the installation of a 40’ glulam stringer trail bridge with timber sill on geocell pad, an optional item for existing trail restoration and all other incidental items necessary to complete the project in accordance with plans and specifications. Project Location - Driveway Trail Bridge Location- From Sheridan, Wyoming, head south on interstate 90 for approximately 31 miles to exit 56A towards Buffalo, Wyoming. Continue on this road for approximately 2 miles, then turn right onto US-16 West. In approximately 46 miles, turn right at the junction of NFSR #27. Travel on NFSR #27 for approximately 2 miles. From here, there is a native surface unimproved road for 0.3 miles to within approximately 100’ of the bridge site. Trail Bridge coordinates: 44° 11' 40.20" N, -107° 14' 35.16" W Cedar Creek Trail Bridge Location - From Sheridan, Wyoming, head north on interstate 90 for approximately 11 miles to exit 9. Head westbound on US-14 for approximately 52 miles to the junction of NFSR #264 (Cedar Creek Rd.). NFSR #264’s approach is a narrow, steep, four-wheel drive road for the first 1.3 miles. At the location of Trail 055, the four-wheel drive road ends and the road becomes a trail for the next mile to the bridge site. For the remaining 1 mile, currently the trail conditions would not allow access for an ATV. There is an optional work item for the reconstruction of the 1 mile of trail to provide access to the bridge site with an ATV. It is anticipated that the bridge stringers and other materials will need to be delivered to the site using a helicopter. Trail bridge coordinates: 44° 36' 16.88" N, -107° 39' 17.43" W.
