Question: When was the last time the pumps were overhauled? Answer: All pumps have been in service for 20 years. They are set up in Lead-Lag-Standby and rotate weekly when all three pumps are in service. Approximately six months ago the seal leaked on the pump that is removed, removed from service. The seal was replaced and once the pump was installed the seal continued to leak. One of the pumps that is currently in service cannot be turned off or the seal will leak. The pumps have been maintained, i.e., greased, couplings replaced, strainer cleaned, but have not had the seals replaced.
