Contracting Officers may solicit... NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). Contracting Officers may solicit from one source if it's determined only one source is reasonably available to satisfy agency requirements, as supplemented with additional information in this notice. The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS) National Agricultural Library (NAL) intends to award on a sole source basis a Firm Fixed Price purchase order (PO) to Canadian Science Publishing (NRC Research Press). The contractor shall provide electronic access via IP authentication via the internet to specified scientific journals published by Canadian Science Publishing/NRC Research Press. Access to these publications will be for use by all USDA employees, authorized public on-site users, and contractors, cooperators and volunteers working on behalf of USDA and acting within the scope of their relationship with USDA. Period of Performance: The base period of performance will be September 30, 2020 through September 29, 2021. Option period 1 – September 30, 2021 to September 29, 2022. Option period 2 - September 30, 2022 to September 29, 2023. Option period 3 – September 30, 2023 to September 29, 2024. Option period 4 – September 30, 2024 to September 29, 2025.
