SHIP TO ADDRESS – Beltsville, Maryland 20705 Statement of work (SOW): To meet objectives for approved research and maintain project plan milestones, approximately 76 weaned pigs (30 or less lbs) need to be purchased from an external vendor following review of herd health records and verification of the conditions of transportation to Beltsville by the attending BARC/VS veterinarian. The health status of the pigs must be certified so experiments will be consistent with previous studies. The external vendor is required to show a proven record of providing healthy and disease-free pigs that will be maintained in quarantine after arriving at a selected site on the Beltsville campus. Experimental procedures will be conducted on the pigs according to guidelines approved by the Beltsville IACUC (protocol #20-003). The pigs will be shipped by the vendor under travel conditions approved by the Beltsville IACUC and the vendor transport vehicle will meet a transport vehicle provided by BA/RAS at 10300 Baltimore Avenue, BARC-East, Bldg 204 for transfer of the pigs and relocation to Building 1140 in Beltsville, Md. 20705 Upon request, the Contracting Officer will make their full text available.
