Solicitation number 001205405000658_RMajumdar is issued as a request for quotes (RFQ). This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition is 541990. Objective The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS) requires analysis of RNAs originating from sugar beet samples infected with pathogens, for results requested per each sample batch. There will be a total of 115 sugar beet samples to be sent in the fall of 2020. Scope The purpose is to acquire the required analysis of sugar beet samples infected with virus/fungus/bacteria, for results requested per each sample batch. There will be a total of 115 total samples amongst which, 63 samples are related to small RNA sequencing (sRNAseq) and 52 samples for long (regular transcripts) RNA sequencing (RNAseq). We anticipate a turnaround time of 4-6 weeks. We will submit samples for CLIN 1 and CLIN 2 separately. We expect a detailed description of how you will perform each task/test, with pricing for each CLIN. The Government will award a firm fixed price contract resulting from the solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. (d) Comptroller General Examination of Record.
