The Congressional Budget Office has a requirement for a Contractor to provide services to design and install a new audio/video (A/V) system in the agency’s three existing conference rooms. The overall goal of this project is to align the rooms with current technologies in communications, presentation, and training capabilities within the agency as well as the outside world. This update includes the re-modernization of the A/V systems with an added focus on simplicity of use. The refresh should incorporate similar operations in each room so that staff will be able to walk into any of the conference rooms and know which technologies are available and exactly how to accomplish the technical aspects of their meeting. It is necessary that the new equipment is integrated and programmed accordingly into the existing infrastructure. Key objectives include: Improve equipment reliability (i.e., remove and replace all outdated wiring, replace cabinets with better airflow and wireless reception) Improve equipment availability to users Improve capabilities of the conference rooms based upon: Current technologies at similar commercial facilities (i.e., higher resolution (UHD) displays and cameras, modern connections (HDMI) for laptops and mobile devices) Industry best practices Support teleworking and web teleconferencing for improved communication The proposed contract will include the design and installation services plus up to 4 years of annual maintenance under optional line items. Offerors may schedule a site visit to view the conference rooms and existing equipment. The location is the Ford House Office Building at 2nd and D Streets SW in Washington D.C. Site visits may be scheduled for Tuesday through Thursday, between 10:00am and 2:00pm. Submit your written request to schedule a visit to: Brad Hicks at Brad.Hicks@cbo.gov. Attendance at a site visit is not mandatory.
