The CFTC intends to renew a non-competitive contract with WMATA for its SmartBenefits transit system to manage employee transit benefits. The contract would have a total period of performance of five years, consisting of one base year and four option years. Performance would be in the Greater Washington DC area, using WMATA’s Metrorail and Metrobus systems. The government anticipates award on or about September 10, 2026.
