Posting of finalized sole source justification. The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) intends to award a sole source purchase order to American Building Maintenance for supplemental janitorial services for the leased office space that the agency occupies at 1155 21st Street, NW, Washington, DC 20581. CFTC leases office space from LCPC Lafayette Property LLC. LCPC Lafayette Property LLC has directly contracted with American Building Maintenance for the janitorial services. LCPC Lafayette Property LLC pays for basic janitorial services for the tenants to include daily cleaning of the leased office space; however tenants must pay for services such as carpet spot cleaning and periodic overall carpet cleaning, and pantry maintenance. LCPC Lafayette Property LLC does not permit other contractors into their building space to perform these services. The purchase order will be for a period of performance of one (1) year, 09/1/2021 through 08/31/2022. Pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b), the Contracting Officer hereby determines that circumstances of the procurement deem only one source reasonably available to fulfill CFTC's requirement. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS nor a solicitation of offers. However, the Government will consider written responses from all responsible sources received by 5:00pm ET, August 10, 2021. Written responses must include sufficient information to establish capability to fulfill the requirement. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purposes for future Market Research requirements. No formal solicitation package is available. The Government anticipates award on or about August 26, 2021. The Government will not be responsible for any costs of preparation in response to this announcement.
