Sources Sought for Co-Brand Agreement for Door Hardware
On behalf of the U.S. AbilityOne Commission, NIB is seeking potential partnerships with U.S. commercial Door Hardware manufacturers to create employment for people who are blind or severely disabled, with successful products intended for addition to the AbilityOne Procurement List under a co-brand agreement. Proposed products must meet or exceed FAR and other federal standards, including industry performance, construction, sustainability, reliability, testing/certification, documentation, and MSDS requirements where applicable. Manufacturers must have a nationally or industry-known brand with substantial sales evidence, allow NPA employees to work at their facility, deliver bulk materials, enter a multi-year agreement providing technical/production assistance and factory-trained field support, and help the NPA assemble/package products while controlling expansion costs. They should also commit to marketing to government customers, with preference for a dedicated federal sales/marketing team, and submissions must show how products meet the criteria and what functions NPA employees would perform.
