Conservation and Stabilization of the Plaster and Decorative Paint at the President’s Room Ceiling, United States Capitol Building
The Architect of the Capitol (AOC) is planning a procurement for professional conservation services to restore and stabilize the plaster ceiling and decorative paint in the President's Room (S-216) of the U.S. Capitol. The work involves designing and implementing a treatment plan to prevent the loss of historic plaster and frescoes. The services will be performed at the United States Capitol. The AOC intends to award one contract using a competitive tradeoff selection process, not strictly based on lowest price. The formal Request for Proposal is anticipated to be posted in late March or early April 2026.
