ABMC is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to determine the interest of organizations to collaborate with ABMC within the next 12 months to address the lack of broadband infrastructure outside of the office, visitor center, and service area, particularly at the open space, cemetery ground. ABMC seeks information, ideas, and interests to learn and understand the following: Strategies and challenges in extending local area network from the demarcation point to provide wireless Internet access across the entire Normandy American Cemetery site without altering visitors’ viewshed/line of sights when they are visiting buried service members’ headstones and the Walls of Missings; Known supply chain, scheduling, permitting challenges; and Vendor-certified integrators/partners who have demonstrated experience deploying wireless Internet in local regions. ABMC is open to discussions regarding last-mile wireless solutions that are appropriate for this cemetery. The agency also seeks input from potential partners regarding the terms and conditions under which they would participate in such a project. ABMC is prepared to consider a variety of business models that may share technological and operational responsibilities and financial risk between the partners and ABMC in innovative ways.
