INTRODUCTION: This is a Sources Sought Synopsis announcement for information only, to be used for market research and preliminary planning purposes. No proposals are being requested or accepted with this synopsis. This is not a solicitation or a request for proposal (RFP) and no contract shall be awarded from this synopsis. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow up information requests. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities, and qualifications of interested firms who have demonstrated capabilities in meeting the project description listed below, and to address any questions, recommendations, or concerns from Industry. Responses to this Sources Sought Synopsis will be used by the ABMC to make appropriate acquisition planning decisions. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Provide Construction Management/Inspection Services in accordance with Title II of the Selection of Architect and Engineers Act (40 USC Ch 11) for the construction of a new Interpretive Center to be located at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (NMCP), Honolulu, HI. The new facility will provide exbibit and administrative space including all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and security systems. The new facility will have approximately 4,000 GSF of interior space. The project also includes site utilities, irrigation, and landscaping. Services included day-to-day quality assurance inspections, monitoring and evaluating construction activities to validate conformance to plans and specifications, coordinating the review of submittals and shop drawings with the designer of record, mitigation of any unforeseen issues, and providing the Government representative technical advisory assistance in administering and managing the construction project. The site is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Experience working on similar projects is desired. RESPONSE REQUIREMENT: Responses to this Sources Sought shall be limited to 3 pages and shall include the following information: Interested Firm’s name, address, point of contact, phone number, and email address. A brief description of the interested firm's capability to perform a requirement of similar magnitude and complexity to the work described above. Brief description shall demonstrate the interested firm’s ability to provide a qualified and experienced personnel to perform the work; execute work on historic structures; identifying any previous or current contracts involving similar work/magnitude is encouraged. Submission of interest is not a prerequisite to any potential future offerings, but participation will assist ABMC in identifying sources with required capabilities. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on SAM.gov. Interested offerors shall respond to this Sources Sought by email no later than 1500 hours, Eastern Daylight, on 21 June 2024.
