This one-year extension would consolidate the transfer of documentation and early grade assessment skills to the national education system. Priority will also include how to scale up the development of SIRA reading materials to three other national languages as stated in the Ministry of Education’s (MEN) strategy, the Ten-Year Education Development Plan (PRODEC2). The extension will allow additional time to monitor and reinforce the mechanisms that have been put in place to facilitate and promote sustainability of activity objectives. This cost extension is in an amount of $4,000,000 covering the activity implementation from November 1, 2021 to October 31, 2022.
