The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Bureau for Democracy, Development and Innovation (DDI) Center for Energy, Environment and Infrastructure (EEI) is seeking information and recommendations for the development of a new tool to calculate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from Agriculture, Forestry and Other Land Use (AFOLU). The purpose is to provide USAID with technical input on the feasibility and ease of building a new calculator tool with the capabilities described below. The tool will help USAID Missions and operating units track and report on USAID climate indicators (13-6, 13-7, and 13-8) and align with the priorities of the USAID Climate Strategy. USAID is particularly interested in responses from, although anyone can submit a response to this RFI: Organizations and businesses operating in the GHG calculator, monitoring, or emissions modeling or tracking space Geospatial industry forest monitoring experts GHG accounting industry experts Academics working on methane, carbon dioxide, and/or nitrous oxide tracking or calculating Public and private sector entities working in fields such as, but not limited to, GHG calculators, carbon finance, and public geospatial mapping platforms etc.
