The JHRSS (UNIDOS) Activity provides assistance to the Judiciary, Public Ministry, Honduran National Police, Public Defense Attorney, and civil society organizations (CSOs) to support more effective and accountable justice and security institutions, with the purpose of reducing violence in target areas, reducing impunity, protecting human rights, increasing transparency, and engaging citizens in policy-making processes. In so doing, it addresses some of the root causes of irregular migration. If approved, This Activity will be the only activity directly focused on tertiary violence prevention, which requires specialized justice sector expertise and strong community relationships.
