The United States Government, represented by the U.S. Agency for International Development/Jordan intends to modify the Building Economic Sustainability Through Tourism (BEST) activity to extend the period of performance by one year and increase the ceiling by an additional $3,000,000 to $4,500,000 with the same contractor for similar services. Under the proposed extension, the Contractor will continue to provide specialized services to support critical ongoing activities in response to urgent requests made by Jordan’s Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities (MOTA) to USAID, focusing technical assistance in the following programmatic themes organized under four pillars: Pillar 1: Improve the tourism business enabling environment to support competitive resilience. Pillar 2: Support the scaling up of nascent tourism assets, products, and experiences. Pillar 3: Increase domestic investment and access to finance. Pillar 4: Enhance marketing and promotion efforts to increase the number of visitors from key source markets. Continuing performance of the proposed activities with the same contractor is critical to the mission of USAID and is in the best interest of the United States Government. A Justification and Approval (J&A) pursuant to FAR 6.305 will be published after contract award.
