USAID’s country office in Burkina Faso requires the services of a qualified Senior Humanitarian Advisor / Senior Humanitarian Program Officer (HA/SHPO) French-speaking, U.S. or Third Country National Personal Services Contractor (US or TCN PSC) based in the USAID/Burkina Faso’s Humanitarian Assistance Team at the US Embassy in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. With close collaboration and technical support from the BHA West Africa Regional Office (WARO) in Dakar, Senegal, and various BHA offices in Washington, DC the incumbent will contribute to the effective design, implementation and management of BHA emergency, early recovery, risk reduction, and resilience programs in Burkina Faso. As articulated in the five-year Regional Development Cooperation Strategy, USAID/Burkina Faso is committed to supporting the increase of inclusive social and economic development in a more resilient, democratic, integrated West Africa. Due to the persistent complex crises in Burkina Faso with many social services being provided through humanitarian assistance. USAID/Burkina Faso aims to more intentionally promote layering, sequencing, and integrating between humanitarian assistance and development assistance in target geographic areas to maximize the impact of programs. The job may be expected to perform work-related travel.
