The Namibia Health Office Director will be based in Windhoek, Namibia and will fill a key management and technical role. The incumbent will serve as the principal manager and technical officer for the USAID/PEPFAR and COVID-19 programs in Namibia. S/he represents USAID in the PEPFAR interagency space, to the Government of the Republic of Namibia (GRN) counterparts, and to USG implementing partners. S/he leads the development, management and implementation of the USAID portion of the PEPFAR program and has direct responsibility for day-to-day coordination, administrative management and technical oversight of the USAID PEPFAR portfolio in Namibia. Duties and responsibilities include strategy development within PEPFAR and USAID parameters, program planning and development, supervision of USAID staff, and oversight of or direct activity management of USAID grants, contracts and cooperative agreements. The incumbent is directly supervised by the USAID Country Representative in Namibia.
