The purpose of this amendment is to provide answers to questions received, extend the due of receiving proposals and amend the RFP. The USAID Power Tunisia Activity seeks to advance self-reliance in Tunisia by strengthening the country’s institutional capacity to manage, operate, and maintain a modern, diversified and financially sound electricity system. The activity has three core objectives: Strengthening the energy sector’s performance Diversifying and securing energy supply Promoting advanced technology pilots and partnerships Through this activity, USAID seeks to contribute to the following high-level results planned for Tunisia’s energy sector: Increase domestic electricity production from renewable sources to 30 percent by 2030. Reduce energy demand by 30 percent by 2030. Lower the carbon intensity by 41 percent by 2030. Reduce electricity losses. Increase private-sector-led investment and innovation. Reduce energy deficit. To advance these objectives, the Contractor must partner with the relevant government agencies, the local and international private sector, as well as collaborate with international donors and multilateral banks.
