The purpose of this solicitation is to obtain construction services from qualified and locally registered Construction Firms with presence and proven track record working in the northern region of Mozambique (specifically in Nampula and Cabo Delgado) to build or rehabilitate up to 10 (ten) Health Facilities (HFs) including supporting systems such as water supply, electrical and sewage, at different districts in the provinces of Nampula and Cabo Delgado. A one-year warranty period from the completion and reception date is required. The scope of work includes training of local health facility staff (plumbers and electricians) to ensure operation and maintenance of the systems (electrical and water) after the handover of the facilities. The selected construction firm(s) will be responsible to build new maternity blocks or rehabilitate existing ones based on the scope of work provided in the attached drawings and BOQs (attachments 00 through 10). The proposal must include provision for all necessary labor, material, tools, and equipment for the construction or rehabilitation of the Maternity Blocks and outpatient building including the installation, as applicable, of: a) Solar panel array, batteries, distribution, and related control systems; and b) Construction of elevated water tank served by a borehole with an electric / solar water pump or feed by an existing supply grid, the distribution, and respective systems as applicable. The flush toilets, sinks, laundry areas and sluice (medical sink) will be connected to septic systems with drainage fields. Provision for tanks for rainwater collection is also considered in the projects. Section C (DESCRIPTION/SPECIFICATIONS) of this solicitation provides details on the activities required to be implemented. Amendment 01: The purpose of Amendment 01 is to do the following: 1. Clarify that the date for the pre-proposal conference in Nampula is on March 21, 2024 at 10:00 AM (Maputo Time); and 2. Issue a revised solicitation. Amendment 02: The purpose of this Amendment is to do the following: 1. Provide answers to questions received; 2. Extend the due date for receipt of proposals to April 22, 2024 at 16:00 (Maputo Time); and 3. Issue a revised solicitation.
