In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.201, this synopsis is published for informational purposes only. No response to this posting is required; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. The purpose of this anticipated PMI Mbu (Mosquitoes) project is to identify and implement proven, evidence based vector control approaches in Tanzania, in support of reducing the overall malaria burden and moving Tanzania close to malaria elimination. This anticipated contract does not include implementation of indoor residual spraying (IRS).The anticipated contract has four primary components:(1) ITN distribution; (2) social and behavior change for ITN use and other vector control interventions (3) using data, including those generated from entomological surveillance, to provide the Government of Tanzania and malaria partners with expert technical guidance, and as appropriate, develop plans for implementation of modified or new vector control approached in Tanzania and (4) Capacity strengthening of Government Institutions (Mainland medical store department (MSD) and Zanzibar Central Medical Store. Any response to this synopsis is required no later than August 8, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. East African Time. Any responses received after this date and time will not be considered by the agency.
