This contract opportunity has been updated to respond to questions received in regards Section H.25 Preclusion on Future Work in Zambia. This contract opportunity has been updated to respond to questions received. The purpose of the Leading Organizational Capacity and Localization Development (LOCAL) Activity is to support the organizational capacity of current USAID/Zambia local implementing partners to manage, implement, and monitor programs. The selected contractor must provide local Zambian partners the support they need for success in operations, income generation, and advocacy, building on lessons learned from previous local partner capacity building initiatives/interventions as well as other successful capacity building models across USAID and USAID/Zambia. The activity must support identifying, treating, and mitigating risks, providing effective and customized capacity development support for programmatic and operational excellence, and improving local organizations' networking, communication and advocacy capacity for organizational sustainability and engagements on local development agendas. There are three main components: Component 1: Increase local partners' capacity for risk identification, mitigation, and compliance to financial and operational best practice. Component 2: Enhance local partners' resource mobilization and funding diversification capacity for the purpose of organizational sustainability. Component 3: Increase networking opportunities, improve communication, monitoring, evaluation and learning capacities and enhance understanding of integrated programming.
