The goal of the Amman Urban Resilience Activity (AURA) is to improve urban resilience to climate change and decarbonization in the municipality of Amman, Jordan (Amman). The attached draft Statement of Work (SOW) describes the objectives of AURA, and the activities and desired results for achieving those objectives. Under the AURA contract, the Contractor must provide targeted support to the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM), the Ministry of Environment (MoEnv), and other line ministries of the Government of Jordan (GOJ) responsible for improving urban resilience to climate change and decarbonization, as well as local community organizations and private sector companies acting in this space. The Contractor must utilize evidence-based and international best practices specifically adapted to the Jordanian context to improve urban resilience to climate change and accelerate decarbonization in GAM. The RFI/SSN is solely for information gathering purposes and is not a Request for Proposal (RFP), a Request for Quotation (RFQ), an Invitation for Bids (IFB), a solicitation, or an indication that USAID/Jordan will contract for the activities described herein. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by USAID/Jordan to form a binding contract. Any proposals submitted in response to this request will not be considered and will be discarded. If a solicitation is eventually issued, it will be announced on the sam.gov website: https://sam.gov/ at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately. It is the responsibility of interested organizations to monitor that website for additional information pertaining to any potential future requirement. This RFI/SSN is not to be construed as a commitment by USAID/Jordan to issue any solicitation or ultimately award a contract for services similar to those described in this RFI/SSN. Responses to this notice are strictly voluntary and USAID/Jordan will not pay respondents for information provided in response to this notice. Respondents are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI/SSN.
