The four years Public Accountability and Justice Strengthening Project, aims to assist the Jordanian government institutions, justice actors and nongovernment stakeholders to improve the transparency, accountability, and accessibility of governance. The program will build on the work of USAID current Rule of Law program and extend and expand its work to additional public sector actors. Improved governance and justice systems will better protect the rights and interests of people living in Jordan. The project will bring together government entities, civil society organizations, private sector companies, and the public to work toward shared objectives within the following three components: Strengthening GOJ institutions accountability, efficiency and transparency and fostering , judicial independence, rule of law and protection of human rights Increasing public demand for accountability, transparency, judicial independence, rule of law and protection of human rights Integrating rule of law and public accountability activities and results into other USAID sector development programs.
