The United States Government, represented by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)/Egypt, intends to award a five-year contract to build upon the work that USAID, other donor projects, and the Government of Egypt have undertaken in the trade sector. The estimated cost range for this procurement is $40-45 Million, subject to availability of funds. The NAICS code for this activity is 541990. The authorized geographic code is 937. This is a Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF) Completion-type contract. The Government of Egypt-International Monetary Fund (GOE-IMF) reform program has opened a pathway toward economic recovery and job-rich growth for Egypt. Recognizing that Egypt is critical to the region’s security, stability, and prosperity, USAID/Egypt is supporting the GOE reform initiatives through several activities, including a new contract entitled “Trade Reform and Development in Egypt” (hereinafter, the “TRADE” Activity). The objective of the TRADE Activity is to increase Egypt’s international trade and investments, and in particular, to increase exports from new small and medium-sized exporting firms.
