This position is located in the USAID Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Bureau for Management (M/CFO/ICFO). The incumbent of this position serves as the Phoenix Project Manager for the Agency's financial accounting system (Phoenix), and works under the general supervision of the Deputy Chief Financial Officer for Washington Operations. The incumbent plays a critical role in managing and maintaining, as well as developing and deploying, the Agency's corporate financial management system within USAID headquarters and field missions, including integration with GLAAS and other Agency systems, as well as managing and developing financial reports and data and a multi-million dollar IT investment and operating budget. The contractor serves as a critical component of the M/CFO management team with a focus on compliance with federal legislation and core financial system requirements as established by OMB. The various systems and data repositories managed directly support USAID's global mission of providing well-targeted foreign assistance programs which directly advance U.S. interests by helping to prevent international crises by generating dynamic opportunities for expanded trade and by providing protection from specific global health and environmental threats. These systems are located in Washington, D.C, and function in real-time in almost 100 overseas missions in developing countries.
