The DRG Learning, Evaluation, and Research (LER) activity provides impact evaluations (IE) of DRG work promoting: transparent and accountable democratic governance through encouraging free and fair elections, media freedom and political parties that are trained to compete based on democratic principles; just rule of law through programs that discourage corruption, encourage judicial or legislative competence and autonomy, improved due process, security sector reform and provision of technical support to judges and legislators; an active civil society in terms of participation and scale of NGO activity; and effective service delivery through decentralized local governance.
