Pursuant to FAR 52.215-3 Request for Information (Oct. 1997), the United States Government, represented by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Sri Lanka/Maldives, is publishing the subject Request for Information in order to obtain information and comments from all interested public and private parties on proposed climate change adaptation activity in Sri Lanka and Maldives. Mission intends to design a five-year, $19 million program, ($8 million for Sri Lanka and $11 million for Maldives). A draft of the requirement is stated under Attachment 1 is the draft Statement of Objectives (SOO) for the pending activity. Through this Request for Information (RFI) USAID/Sri Lanka/Maldives seeks to obtain comments, suggestions on the attached Statement of Objectives (SOO) of the pending climate change adaptation activity in Sri Lanka and Maldives. The information contained within this RFI is intended solely as a thought-piece; ideas may change significantly during the Mission’s remaining stages of the program design, consultation and approval process. USAID/Sri Lanka and Maldives Mission is not requesting proposals at this time. The Mission reserves the right to incorporate, or not to incorporate, any and all comments into the RFP, or to not issue an RFP. It should be noted that responding to this RFI will not give any advantage to any organization in any subsequent procurenment and respondents are solely responsible for bearing all expenses associated with preparation and submission of a response to this RFI.
