The purpose of this work is to continue high energy arc fault (HEAF) testing to support two U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) research initiatives; 1) generic issue program, and 2) international research agreement. Both initiatives require test data on high energy arcing fault phenomena to support hazard model advancements and improve the accuracy of fire probabilistic risk assessment methods. This acquisition will provide access to a high power testing laboratory to acquire the needed data and complete the testing campaign.
