Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii), "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy Agency requirements," NASA Langley Research Center (LaRC) awarded a modification on May 16, 2022 to increase the ceiling value under the Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract 80LARC21D0002 with the General Electric Company (GE). The ceiling value was increased by $20M up to a total of $33M to meet future mission needs through the end of the current period of performance. A contract modification to increase the ceiling was necessary due to accommodate unanticipated budget increases and demand for hypersonic research.
